TurboDraw
=========
CD-ROM installation
Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive and run INSTALL.EXE. A dialog box
will appear for you to choose the options that you want to install. If available
hard disk space is limited, you can choose to run some of the components
from the CD.
Refer to the descriptions below to see which option suits you:
Standard Installation
===============
This is the recommended option because it enables the fastest performance,
but requires the most hard disk space if all the options are installed. The
installation will copy all selected components onto your hard disk.
The default installation directory is C:\IMSI. The install program will
create a subdirectory called TDRAW for the program, and additional
subdirectories for CLIPART, BROWSERS and UTILS.
NOTE: You are recommended to install everything, but you can choose a
custom installation and select which components to install.
Partial Installation
==============
This option lets you install selected components onto your hard disk and
access other components directly from the CD. For example, you could install
the Clipart Browser, but read the clipart from the CD.
Reading from a CD-ROM drive is considerably slower than reading from a
hard disk drive. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you at least install
the TurboDraw program to your hard disk to enable adequate performance.
Note: The Photo CD Browser cannot be run from the CD and therefore will not
be available if you do not install it to your hard disk.
CD Installation
===========
This option runs the entire program directly from the CD and therefore uses
the least disk space. (Some hard disk space is required for the system files
used by TurboDraw.)
This option has the slowest performance and should only be used if hard disk
space is limited.
When running this version, it is necessary to leave the CD in the CD-ROM
drive at all times. Therefore the Photo-CD Browser will not be available.
